Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, originally a specialized martial art form from Brazil, has evolved significantly over the past decades. It has transformed from a niche competitive sport into a globally recognized system for self-defense and fitness, appealing to a diverse range of ages, body types, and backgrounds. This growth reflects its increasing popularity and versatility as both a martial art discipline and a form of physical and mental conditioning.

Striking/ Boxing

At Torch MMA & Fitness, we offer beginner boxing classes as well as mixed-level classes for the striking curious and the as well as the trained athlete. Taught by experienced fighters, students will receive top-notch instruction from coaches in a safe and competitive environment. Shadowboxing, bag work and live sparring with fellow Torches will take your training and confidence to the next level.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai at Torch MMA & Fitness is a comprehensive striking art involving elbows, knees, kicks, and punches, offering both a robust workout and effective self-defense skills. Emulating the high standards of gyms like Torch MMA ensures that their Muay Thai instruction is world-class, accessible, enjoyable, and safe for everyone, regardless of their experience level. Torch’s Head Striking Coach is none other than Warren “The Destroyer” Thompson.

MMA

At Torch MMA & Fitness, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) embodies the apex of martial arts and self-defense training, blending Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo. This program caters to all, from those aspiring to be professional fighters to hobbyists seeking quality training. Torch MMA is proud to offer one of the most esteemed MMA programs in the region.

Junior Torch Program

Our program covers Jiu-jitsu both Gi and NoGi training, boxing, kickboxing and MMA as well as real-life self-defense and anti-bullying tactics.

For ages 7 and up, our  curriculum is suitable for all levels and includes striking fundamentals for self-defense scenarios. Unlike most Jiu-jitsu programs, we prioritize practical self-defense applications alongside sport training. 

Classes follow a 16-week rotation, allowing students to progress in their fundamental skills and delve deeper into each area over time. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu follows a belt system, and students will be promoted based on their progression in self-defense skills, physical fitness, character development, and effort to improve.

Cardio Kickboxing

At Torch MMA & Fitness, the  group Cardio Kickboxing classes are designed to provide an exhilarating full-body workout suitable for anyone looking to reduce body fat, build muscle, and alleviate stress. These 45-minute sessions incorporate dynamic drills and routines, focusing on proper technique taught by a competitive kickboxer. Cardio Kickboxing classes are great for those wanting to dip their toe into combat classes without the impact all while receiving encouragement and accountability of a group class setting.  

Yoga

As a component of the Fitness Membership or an add-on to any membership, Torch offers a variety of yoga classes to keep the body supple, the mind focused and to enhance physical training and competitive sport.  Our All-Level classes are designed to welcome beginners and challenge all yogis to reach their fitness potential. Balance and round -out intense mixed martial arts training with intentional stretching and restorative poses, or just enjoy the historically beneficial practice of yoga tailored just for your needs.

Combat Conditioning

This intense 45 minute workout incorporates animalistic flow into an intense bodyweight workout- spiking your heart rate and conditioning your body to move as it was designed. Train like an animal and unleash your fitness potential!
